Job Overview
Analyze the financial condition of automobile and/or bodybuilder dealerships and affiliated companies to support new or continuing lines of credit. Prepare recommendations for the appropriate level of credit authority.
Responsibilities
- Analyze dealership financial conditions and recommend credit decisions.
- Perform monthly reviews of dealership financial statements and provide recommendations to the Dealer Credit Manager.
- Recommend subordination, guarantees, state legal requirements, UCCs, and other agreements protecting Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.
- Prepare and maintain dealer document files according to established procedures.
- Provide daily service to dealer relationship managers, regional finance managers, regional managers, dealer personnel, and management regarding credit files, system issues, approvals, contingencies, documentation, and financial statements.
- Review wholesale inventory and book audits and recommend action on audit issues and exceptions.
- Communicate with dealer personnel throughout the credit request and maintenance process, including monthly financial statement reviews.
- Structure and present sound underwriting decisions that protect the company's financial interests.
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- At least 3 years of overall work experience required.
- Preferred experience includes business, credit, finance, accounting, risk management, and wholesale audit experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in accounting, business administration, finance, mathematics, or statistics.
- Fundamental accounting and finance knowledge required.
- Analytical, PC, presentation, and problem-solving skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Edge, Word, and Excel; experience with Sopra DM, SFPW CAP Loan system, GeoFence, or CRD preferred.
