Objective of Job
Lead and develop the data-driven backbone of the factory-planning organization, delivering ad-hoc analyses, exploratory dashboards, and predictive insights that steer complex production projects. Ensure alignment with customer requirements, timelines, and budgets while driving analytical excellence, proactive risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across global stakeholders in Germany and China.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Modelling: Perform ad-hoc analyses in SAP BW/HANA; build, deploy, and maintain dashboards and forecasting models; and translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
- Planning & Coordination: Integrate data-driven insights into production-planning workflows, validate concepts against historical benchmarks and predictive models, and support budget and resource calculations through statistical modelling and scenario analysis.
- Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Serve as the point of contact for factory-planning analytics during early-phase discussions with internal teams and planning stakeholders in Germany and China. Escalate critical data-derived risks and initiate corrective task forces when thresholds are breached.
- Process & Standards: Develop and optimize data pipelines, analytics standards, and reporting templates; define and track KPIs; and drive continuous improvement through automation and machine-learning pilots.
- Reporting & Governance: Prepare executive reports on analytical findings, project status, and financial outlook, and present evidence-based recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable quantitative field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in advanced analytics, business intelligence, or data-science projects within manufacturing or automotive environments, focused on planning and project steering.
- 2+ years leading data-driven teams, preferably in cross-cultural Germany/China settings.
- Expertise in Python, Pandas, SQL, SAP BW/HANA, statistical modelling, and foundational machine-learning techniques.
- Experience with project management and KPI-driven reporting for production or supply-chain processes.
- Proficiency with Power BI and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin; basic German preferred.
- Proven intercultural competence and international work or study experience.
