Responsibilities

  • Perform data ingestion, processing, and product distribution.
  • Conduct data and product analysis.
  • Monitor and report operational performance, including developing, documenting, and maintaining tools for production statistics and PDGS monitoring.
  • Prepare and ensure operational readiness for new missions, including operational tests, documentation, procedures, and training.
  • Test and implement new products.
  • Set up, implement, and update operational procedures and documentation.
  • Investigate anomalies.
  • Provide first-line maintenance, including on-call support.
  • Coordinate with external organisations and service providers.
  • Attend technical meetings and participate in formal reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with near-real-time, data-driven, automated systems and large computer networks.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of operational procedures, configuration data, scripting languages, and databases such as Perl, Python, shell, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience preparing data processing operations for new missions or operational systems, including testing, documentation, procedures, and training.
  • Experience in the integration, verification, and validation of data processing systems or processors.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, autonomous, and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience working in multicultural teams.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; another European language is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of configuration control, computer and network systems, IT security, ECSS standards, spacecraft or ground-segment operations, and quality control, calibration, and validation is advantageous.
  • Experience with remote-sensing data processing, including Level-0 to Level-2 meteorological or Earth observation products, is advantageous.
