Data Center Operator

Atos is seeking a Data Center Operator to support hardware operations and technical services in its Blythewood data center.

Duties

• Manage vendors.
• Develop and adhere to data center best practices.
• Provide technical assistance during internal and customer calls.
• Develop hardware installation plans in the data center.
• Escalate incidents to upper management.
• Participate in new business opportunities.
• Investigate and implement new hardware technologies.
• Manage hardware inventory and coordinate with vendors.
• Analyze trends for continuous improvement.
• Maintain and audit the CMDB.
• Support hardware installation and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in IT and two years of experience preferred.
• CCNA and/or A+ certifications desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Hardware Team Objectives

• Provide 24/7/365 support.
• Plan and execute hardware installations and changes in the data center.
• Manage inventory and conduct audits.
• Resolve technical issues and support clients and auditors.
