Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Dynamics AX (v12.0) Administrator to manage, support, and optimize the AX environment. The role focuses on system administration, release management, monitoring, and ensuring operational stability across environments.

Key Responsibilities

Environment & Infrastructure Management

• Manage and maintain AX/D365 environments (DEV, UAT, PROD).
• Configure and support AOS (Application Object Server) clustering and setup.
• Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and system health.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud teams for environment stability.

Release & Deployment Management

• Execute build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or similar tools.
• Manage code deployments across environments following governance standards.
• Support hotfix deployments, patching, and version upgrades.
• Maintain release documentation and rollback strategies.

Monitoring & Issue Management

• Monitor batch jobs, services, and integrations for failures or delays.
• Analyse server logs, batch logs, and system logs to identify issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolution with development and support teams.
• Proactively identify risks and prevent system outages.

System Monitoring & Tools

• Utilize monitoring tools such as Datadog, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or equivalent tools.
• Set up alerts, dashboards, and performance tracking mechanisms.
• Ensure SLA adherence through proactive monitoring.

Technical Support & Analysis

• Provide L2/L3 support for AX/D365-related issues.
• Understand and troubleshoot issues involving X++ and SQL.
• Work closely with developers to resolve defects and performance issues.
• Support data validation, batch corrections, and system optimizations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX v12 administration.
• Hands-on experience with AOS setup, clustering, and configuration.
• Experience with build and release management, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Azure DevOps, or Bamboo.
• Good understanding of X++ for basic debugging and analysis.
• Good understanding of SQL Server queries, performance basics, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in batch job monitoring and log analysis.

Tools & Technologies

• Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or CI/CD tools.
• Datadog or similar monitoring tools.
• SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Windows Server and Azure Cloud environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production support environment.
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to handle incidents, priorities, and escalations effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the retail or eCommerce domain is an added advantage.
• Exposure to automation and monitoring enhancements.

Experience Range

Typically, 4–8 years of relevant experience in AX administration.
