Configuration Manager

As Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the consistency and integrity of system performance, physical, and functional attributes. You will oversee configuration management databases, manage hardware and software baselines, and coordinate change controls to prevent disruptions, ensure compliance, and support seamless deployments.

Core Responsibilities

• Identification: Categorize, track, and label configuration items such as servers, software, documents, and infrastructure.
• Control: Baseline system parameters and rigorously control how changes are implemented, often by leading Change Advisory or Configuration Control Boards.
• Status Accounting: Document and report the historical and current states of all items to ensure full traceability.
• Verification and Auditing: Conduct regular audits to ensure actual configurations match authorized, recorded states.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure technical documentation, software builds, and systems meet regulatory and organizational standards.

Key Skills and Requirements

• Database Management: High proficiency in structuring and maintaining complex Configuration Management Databases (CMDB).
• Tool Familiarity: Experience with version control and configuration tools.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Ability to act as a bridge between developers, quality assurance, system engineers, and executive stakeholders.
