Tasks
- Conduct Functional Safety (FuSa) engineering for ADAS/AD and/or Infotainment at component level according to ISO 26262.
- Conduct FuSa engineering according to ISO 26262, Mercedes-Benz guidelines and project RASCI.
- Derive and maintain component TSC and HW/SW safety concepts for successful review and assessment.
- Perform and maintain necessary safety analyses at system and HW/SW level.
- Review internal or supplier HW/SW safety design and verification.
- Support HW/SW teams in achieving end-to-end functional safety compliance.
- Conduct FuSa management with process conformity and ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage supplier safety, conduct safety audits and assessments, and ensure safety release.
- Support component development and contribute FuSa expertise during concept design and evaluation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
- More than five years of system/component functional safety engineering experience according to ISO 26262.
- More than five years of HW or SW functional safety engineering experience according to ISO 26262.
- Experience with FuSa management of E/E systems according to ISO 26262.
- Automotive industry experience with an OEM or supplier.
- Knowledge of FuSa engineering at component and system level, FuSa management up to ASIL D, and HW or SW functional safety.
- Reliable English or German language skills.
- Fundamental knowledge of quality management and automobile product development processes.
