Job Overview
The MB Account Reconciliation Team (ART) Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and development for one of four ART teams in a high-volume operational environment. The role oversees daily account reconciliation for incoming receivables to ALFA portfolio accounts and suspense systems, including closing entries and title release requests.
The supervisor partners with Accounting, Lockbox Support, and other operational support teams to oversee and optimize productivity, quality, and process efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and employee development for typically 6–10 employees through formal coaching sessions, coaching plans, side-by-side assistance, and on-the-job training.
- Execute performance appraisals, productivity monitoring, goal identification and achievement, talent selection, and necessary disciplinary activities.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation for high volumes of receipts entering the ALFA portfolio system.
- Monitor ART suspense environments, typically ranging from $3 million to $10 million, for escalation protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor the title release gate by confirming contract obligations are met before releasing Mercedes-Benz Financial Services collateral.
- Monitor the LOA gate by confirming proper approval for waiver, credit, and disbursement requests.
- Exercise ART Supervisor LOA to approve and process system disbursements up to $375,000.
- Work with Accounting, Lockbox Support, and other operational teams to analyze root causes of service and system issues and implement continuous process improvements.
- Handle escalated issues involving dealers, customers, and internal departments.
- Review issues presented by requestors and close outstanding items.
- Ensure ICS audit controls are tested regularly and processes meet control expectations.
- Represent ART as the primary ALFA user group and collaborate with ALFA Operations Support to refine ART-related processes.
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
- Minimum of 3 years of overall work experience.
- One year of previous leadership experience required.
- Preferred experience includes business-general, remarketing, customer service, or collections experience.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Recommended majors include accounting, business administration, and finance.
- Analytical, testing, PC, and Microsoft Office skills.
- Preferred knowledge of ALFA, FAW, and Title Release Portal.
- Relocation assistance will not be provided.
