Job description
The accounting procedures sector supports all of the bank’s activities and works as a partner to the business divisions it supports. It plays a key role in transforming and improving the company’s performance, ensuring accurate accounts and high-quality data for financial and regulatory reporting.
Within LCL’s Accounting Department, the eight-person accounting procedures team is organized around the bank’s main processes. The role includes:
- Participating in bank projects on accounting matters, providing accounting expertise, defining accounting principles in accordance with regulations and Group standards, representing the Accounting Department in working groups and monitoring committees, designing accounting entries and drafting procedures, validating accounting processes, supporting project launches, and relaying information within the department.
- Responding to ad hoc requests for expertise on accounting entries, accounts, and closing-related questions.
- Preparing accounting documentation for all the bank’s operations using French and international standards, including IFRS.
- Determining the accounting impacts of regulatory and functional changes.
- Updating accounting documentation and ensuring its continued maintenance.

Requirements
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent.
- Minimum experience: 0–2 years; experience in a banking accounting department is preferred.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations, banking accounting, and international IAS/IFRS standards.
- Understanding of information systems in a banking environment.
- Organization, initiative, interpersonal skills, analytical and synthesis abilities, rigor, adaptability, and strong written communication.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Business Objects, Power BI, and SAI version APHA 3.0.
