You will join the Depositary Control department, which is responsible for depositary control activities in line with UCITS and AIFMD directives and for monitoring the regularity of fund operations in investors' interests.

As a Depositary Control Officer, you will:

  • Ensure that funds are managed in accordance with applicable law and their constitutive documents.
  • Set up and/or perform controls relating to investment policies and restrictions.
  • Supervise controls performed by management companies or their delegates.
  • Perform specific due diligence on control processes within management companies, particularly regarding ESG topics.
  • Analyse significant and unusual cash flows and assess whether further investigations are necessary.
  • Contribute to adapting existing processes and procedures in response to regulatory developments, market practices and regulator expectations.
  • Interact with management companies during fund implementation, follow-up of detected anomalies and implementation of action plans.
  • Depending on your seniority, present the department's activities.
  • Carry out the work required to issue depositary bank confirmations for annual certification of positions held for funds and follow up until completion of the annual audit.

As part of the final recruitment process, the selected candidate will be asked to provide Luxembourg criminal record bulletin no. 3, or an equivalent document for non-residents, issued less than three months ago.

Profile

  • Minimum education: Master's degree (M1).
  • Specialisation in Finance, Control/Risk Management or Law.
  • First experience in risk/control and/or the investment fund sector.
  • Experience level: 0–2 years.
  • Knowledge of financial products and the asset management environment.
  • Knowledge of financial providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters and Telekurs.
  • Rigor, analytical ability, critical thinking, team spirit and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access.
  • VBA programming would be an advantage.
  • Fluent French and English. German or Italian is an advantage.
