Your Role
Location: Liège
As a Senior Buyer, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to help shape and deliver the purchasing strategy for one of Belgium's most significant energy infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the purchasing policy, drawing up specifications with legal, technical, and operational specialists.
- Analyse market mechanisms and trends to compare, evaluate, and select competitive supplier bids and quotes.
- Lead contract negotiations on pricing, contractual terms, and service quality while supporting cost optimisation initiatives.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, from implementation through monitoring, ensuring suppliers meet commitments and performance standards.
- Provide expert commercial and contractual support for technical projects and exceptional purchases, ensuring compliance and best value.
Your Profile
- Master's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a Purchasing role beyond simple replenishment activities.
- Strong understanding of market mechanisms and ideally legal aspects of procurement and contract management.
- Confident communication, strong interpersonal skills, assertiveness, and the ability to perform under pressure.
- Analytical and synthesis skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in French and English and comfort with SAP and standard office software.
