Your role
As a Business Development Manager at Capgemini Engineering, you will drive business growth in the Portuguese market, with accountability for the go-to-market and business development of the Engineering portfolio.
You will work with Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery teams and technology partners to identify, develop and close complex opportunities, ensuring consistent positioning and value creation across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Engineering portfolio in Portugal.
- Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across Engineering, Industry, Digital and R&D services.
- Build and sustain a healthy, structured pipeline with a strong hunter mindset.
- Work with multiple Sales teams to jointly sell the full Capgemini Engineering portfolio.
- Act as an interface between clients, partners and internal sales, pre-sales, engineering and delivery teams.
- Support pre-sales and sales capture activities, including solution shaping, proposal strategy and value propositions.
- Develop and manage technology partnerships, including joint go-to-market initiatives.
- Translate client challenges into technical-commercial solutions with clear business value.
- Monitor market trends and opportunities in Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing and Industry.
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Account Management or Sales Capture, preferably in B2B environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Portuguese market and local business dynamics.
- Experience with complex portfolios and transversal offerings.
- Background or strong exposure to industrial, engineering or technology-driven environments.
- Experience in technology partner management and ecosystem-based sales models.
- Ability to coordinate and influence across multiple sales teams and stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage in technical-level conversations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- High autonomy, proactivity and resilience, with a results-driven mindset.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese is mandatory.
