Context and challenges
As part of the expansion of its AMOA teams on major transformation programmes in the insurance sector, Sopra Steria is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with at least five years of insurance experience. Relevant areas include property and casualty, life, health, protection, claims and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Act as the interface between insurance business teams and IT teams.
- Lead business workshops covering underwriting, administration, claims, products and compliance.
- Gather, challenge and prioritise requirements.
- Write functional specifications, user stories and business rules.
- Model processes using BPMN and UML.
- Define user journeys for front-office, underwriting and back-office systems.
- Develop test strategies and test data, coordinate UAT and acceptance testing, and track defects.
- Contribute to project committees and reporting.
- Maintain documentation, participate in user training and provide post-deployment support.
Profile
- At least five years of experience as a Business Analyst or AMOA consultant.
- Mandatory professional experience in the insurance sector.
- Ability to work with actuaries, business teams and technical teams.
- Strong analytical, synthesis and communication skills.
- Adaptability to varied information-system environments combining legacy and modernisation.
Required skills
- Knowledge of at least one insurance area such as property and casualty, life, health, protection, products, claims, distribution, pricing or indemnification.
- Familiarity with IFRS 17, Solvency II and DDA regulations.
- Requirements gathering, functional documentation, BPMN, UML, test strategy, UAT and workshop facilitation.
- Basic SQL, Agile Scrum, Kanban or V-cycle methodologies.
- Jira, Confluence, Miro and Postman; knowledge of Power BI and advanced SQL is a plus.
- Experience contributing to an information-system migration or insurance product redesign.
