Tasks

Lead brake system development in the chassis team.
Take overall responsibility for component development according to the Mercedes-Benz Development System (MDS).
Co-create with R&D Germany, local suppliers, purchasing, and quality counterparts.
Develop and release component drawings and 3D models with suppliers, including technical documentation for engineering changes.
Identify China-specific requirements and communicate them to headquarters.
Provide technical support to the BBAC R&D organization.
Support engineering change implementation throughout the product lifecycle of localized components for locally produced Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Act as the liaison between the joint venture plant and R&D headquarters, providing technical support for production engineering issues.
Work with the Field Quality organization on issues in the Chinese market.

Qualifications

Master's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, information engineering, embedded systems, automotive engineering, or a related engineering field.
Profound chassis systems hardware design, testing, and release knowledge at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
Proficiency in automotive brake systems, processes, standards, and toolchains.
In-depth understanding of automotive product and technology development trends.
Strong technical knowledge of cross-domain vehicle network communication protocols.
Good understanding of Automotive AUTOSAR architecture.
Strong ownership, motivation, decision-making ability, and teamwork skills.
Strong mentorship skills focused on continuous learning and operational excellence.
Fluent English; German is a plus.
Adequate driving skills; internal driving qualification for high-level dynamic driving testing is preferred.
