Body Shop Operator - Door Adjuster (All Shifts)

Tasks

First Shift Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify spot-welded joints of the entire vehicle body according to quality standards.
• Inspect and verify stud presence, location, and torque welding.
• Inspect and verify MIG/MAG welds, sealer and adhesive application, laser welds, and laser brazing.
• Control the ultrasonic device and test mode.
• Conduct special audits without inspection plan specifications.
• Use ultrasonic testing to analyze spot-welded joints according to the inspection plan.
• Provide expert input for establishing and modifying testing plans and ultrasonic test parameters.
• Document, communicate, and troubleshoot unsatisfactory ultrasonic tests, determining when physical inspection is necessary.
• Communicate daily information and relevant events during shift changes.
• Assist in organizing teamwork and participate in the Continuous Improvement Program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of relevant automotive production experience, or an associate degree in a technical trade and 2 years of relevant automotive production experience.
• Extensive experience with non-destructive structural testing.
• Knowledge of sheet metal processing and data processing.
• Certified Radiographic Interpreter and Certified Welding Inspector credentials preferred.
• Previous spot-welding experience preferred.
