As a Nike Assistant Store Manager, you’re the face of NIKE. You’ll work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, helping customers make the best decisions for them while leading your team to focus on customer service and getting to the win the right way.
You’ll train your team, implement Nike’s Service Principles, and represent NIKE’s global culture of sport, the brand, your colleagues, and your community. You’ll lead, coach, and inspire your team to deliver the best customer experience while ensuring team members feel included and supported. You’ll also use your retail expertise to drive store growth strategies and build community partnerships.
Putting Your Best Foot Forward
- Four years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
- Three years of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Proven ability to use tools for conflict resolution and employee coaching and counseling.
- Availability to work mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
What You're Responsible For
- Leading a team that keeps all store functions running seamlessly.
- Attracting, assessing, and onboarding future teammates.
- Equipping store employees with the tools needed to succeed in their daily responsibilities.
- Leading store business results and critical metrics, including budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, people leadership, and management.
- Managing the product life cycle from the stockroom to visual merchandising and the sales floor.
