Mission
Assist the Senior Outbound Manager in driving the shuttle team to reach agreed service levels and meet or exceed customer expectations. Lead the team to achieve or exceed productivity, cost, and SLA targets while promoting safety and lean logistics practices in the distribution center.
Key Responsibilities
Project phase
- Join testing and training activities as a key user and quickly master all relevant processes.
- Train end users within the work group to ensure shuttle staff and workers are properly trained and workflows are executed efficiently.
After project go-live
Collaboration
- Assist the Outbound Manager in managing the outbound shuttle team.
- Work with outbound managers and supervisors across functions to organize and motivate the shuttle team to achieve on-time delivery and outsourced-worker performance.
- Assist with shift planning and adjust temporary staffing in a timely manner to meet customer service levels and productivity targets.
- Communicate effectively with peers across the distribution center to ensure departmental KPIs are achieved.
Management
- Recommend, develop, and implement methods and procedures that address customer needs, improve compliance, reduce operating costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
- Lead the shuttle team in fulfilling orders and tasks, monitoring permanent and outsourced workers against distribution-center performance targets.
- Support the Outbound Manager in creating practical team KPI targets and leading the team toward excellence.
Systems and processes
- Develop and maintain systems for identifying and evaluating team and employee productivity rates using MA system tools and reports.
- Apply knowledge of WMS and WES systems to support daily operations.
- Understand distribution-center processes and pursue continuous improvements in operating efficiency and cost savings.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions, and continually optimize SOPs.
People management
- Work with the Training Supervisor to create regular training plans and ensure staff are skilled for daily operations.
- Work with the site Health and Safety Supervisor to maintain a healthy and safe workplace.
- Develop people and build an efficient, high-quality, cost-saving team.
- Lead staff in following company policies, especially HES policies, to create a safe environment.
Other responsibilities may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

- Internal: DC Operations, Global Lean Management Team, Global Initiatives Team, DC Planning, HR/Admin, IT
- External: Customers, 3PLs, vendors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- College degree or above.
- Rich experience managing automated production equipment and forklifts, with 5–10 years of experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of warehouse or distribution-center experience, including 3 or more years managing an automated or semi-automated large-scale distribution facility using unit sorters, shuttles, or other automated systems.
- Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills.
- Familiarity with WMS, WCS, and WES systems preferred.
- Strong communication skills, stable personality, customer-driven orientation, and teamwork.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and MS Project.
