About the role
Primark is looking for an Assistant Manager to work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team and ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will drive sales and optimise commercial performance through strategic planning and excellent execution across all areas.
Responsibilities
- Lead the store team and support the Store Manager in daily operations.
- Drive sales and improve commercial performance.
- Ensure stock is available and well managed.
- Oversee product presentation and visual merchandising.
- Support task and schedule planning to ensure effective deployment of colleagues.
- Take responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Train, motivate and develop colleagues, promoting learning, recognition and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Promote safety, ethical values and sustainability within the Primark Cares strategy.
About you
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams, particularly in dynamic, high-volume environments.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop talent while fostering commitment and high performance.
- Commercial vision, with the ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and make strategic decisions to exceed sales targets.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills, with a resolute and resilient approach to complex situations.
- Clear and inspiring communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Geographic mobility is essential.
- University studies in Business Administration, Marketing and Market Research, Commerce and Marketing, an MBA or a similar discipline are valued.
- Good English skills are important; other languages, including sign language, are valued.
