Responsibilities
As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team and ensure an exceptional in-store shopping experience. You will drive sales and optimise commercial performance through strategic planning and excellent execution across all areas.
You will ensure stock is available and well managed, supervise product presentation, and help plan tasks and schedules so that colleagues are in the right place at the right time. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will lead the store's daily operations.
You will train, motivate and develop Primark colleagues, encouraging learning, recognition and continuous improvement. You will also ensure compliance with policies and procedures, promote safety, and support Primark Cares' ethical and sustainable values.
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams, especially in dynamic, high-volume operating environments.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and develop talent while fostering commitment and high performance.
- Commercial vision, data analysis skills and the ability to identify opportunities and make strategic decisions to exceed sales targets.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills, with a resolute and resilient approach to complex situations.
- Clear and inspiring communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Geographical availability is essential.
- University studies in Business Administration, Marketing and Market Research, Commerce and Marketing, an MBA or similar are valued.
- Good English skills; other languages, including sign language, are also valued.
