Job Overview
Pick and pack dealer orders according to assigned priorities and quality standards. Unpack incoming shipments, verify and inspect contents in accordance with departmental procedures and quality standards. Bin incoming parts in assigned locations in accordance with departmental procedures and quality standards. Participate in the perpetual inventory process. Maintain assigned areas in good condition at all times. Adhere to all safety and security regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform all basic Parts Distribution Center warehouse functions such as picking, packing, checking, and binning in accordance with departmental procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of general warehouse experience.
- General knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques to achieve designated productivity rates.
- Warehouse experience required.
Additional Information
The warehouse environment may be dusty and noisy, with drafts, temperature changes, slippery surfaces during wet weather, uneven walking surfaces, sharp-edged merchandise and tools, and fumes from passing forklifts. Work gloves and safety shoes are provided by the company. Certified associates may operate forklifts or other lift equipment.
Physical requirements include extended periods of walking or standing, stooping, climbing, sitting, reaching overhead, balancing, bending, squatting, pushing and pulling, operating warehouse machinery, and lifting or unloading materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequent use of hands, manual dexterity, specific vision abilities, and sufficient hearing to react safely to approaching machinery are required.
