Role Overview
Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited is seeking a Solution Architect / Lead Full Stack Architect with 10+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions across full stack ecosystems. The role covers application architecture, cloud platforms, distributed systems, enterprise security, integration patterns, technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivery accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end solution architecture across frontend, backend, data, security, and infrastructure layers.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance system designs.
- Drive technology selection, architecture standards, governance, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Design applications using React or similar frontend frameworks and .NET, Java, Python, or Node.js backend technologies.
- Architect microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, APIs, and modernization initiatives.
- Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring, and deployment strategies.
- Design relational and NoSQL data architectures, enterprise integrations, messaging systems, event streaming, caching, and large-scale data processing.
- Define application security, IAM, RBAC, ABAC, SSO, MFA, federated identity, secure API access, secrets management, threat modeling, and DevSecOps practices.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, SLAs, SLOs, and reliability engineering practices.
- Lead engineering teams, provide mentoring and technical direction, resolve complex technical challenges, and support delivery governance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and leadership to communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, risks, and technology solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Experience with .NET, Java, Python, Node.js, microservices, distributed systems, API design, and cloud-native principles.
- Strong IAM and enterprise security architecture experience.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 10+ years of software development experience with significant solution architecture and technical leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, TOGAF or similar frameworks, solution estimation, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Architecture certifications and exposure to AI/ML platforms, analytics ecosystems, or data engineering are a plus.
