Key Responsibilities

• Develop and institutionalize AI-first SDLC processes.
• Create reusable accelerators, including prompt patterns, AI test automation, and architecture templates.
• Define the end-to-end lifecycle from experimentation through deployment and governance.
• Drive methods, tools, and processes for AI SDLC within the department.
• Own technology analysis and AI tool evaluations.
• Enable programs, workshops, and AI communities.

Cross-Functional Influence

• Act as an AI evangelist across the Enterprise IT department.
• Partner with architects, development leads, agile coaches, and product teams to identify AI opportunities.
• Integrate with and align to Mercedes-Benz global AI strategy and guardrails.

Hands-On AI Enablement

• Support teams with rapid AI prototyping, code-generation tools, automation, and use-case validation.
• Provide guidance in model selection, prompt engineering, evaluation, and responsible AI.
• Run proofs of concept, assessments, and reviews for AI adoption readiness.

Training and Culture Building

• Conduct workshops, labs, and AI coaching sessions for engineers and managers.
• Lead internal communities of practice for AI and GenAI.
• Promote innovation through showcases, hackathons, and related central initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of GenAI, LLMs, vector databases, and ML workflows.
• Experience integrating AI into development workflows, including copilots, test automation, and documentation.
• Proficiency in Python or Java and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Good grasp of enterprise SDLC, DevOps, APIs, microservices, security, and compliance.
• Proven ability to influence teams without formal authority.
• Excellent stakeholder management across verticals and global counterparts.
• Ability to translate complex AI topics into simple, actionable guidance.
• Evangelist mindset, proactive learning, strong communication, and comfort with ambiguity and fast experimentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• 9+ years in software engineering, architecture, delivery, or enterprise architecture.
• Experience in transformation programs or ownership of initiatives.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale systems.
• Certifications in AI/ML, cloud, or agile practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
