Job Description
Capgemini is seeking an ABL - Developer Java to design, develop, secure, test, and govern REST APIs and microservices using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Flex Gateway.
- Design API contracts following corporate standards for naming, versioning, resources, and response codes.
- Model API resources, operations, payloads, and errors using OpenAPI/Swagger or RAML.
- Define and apply security and governance policies, including authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and logging.
- Develop APIs and microservices using MuleSoft Mule 4, DataWeave, Anypoint Studio, and Flex Gateway.
- Configure and integrate APIs with Anypoint API Manager and Flex Gateway for registration, policies, and deployment.
- Implement automated unit, integration, contract, and API tests using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
- Integrate with backend systems including databases, core systems, SOAP services, and messaging queues.
- Ensure data-model consistency, performance, security, and alignment with business domains and existing architectures.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as an integration or API developer.
- Previous experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is strongly preferred; equivalent experience with Apigee, Kong, WSO2, or other integration/API management platforms may be considered.
- Experience in enterprise environments such as insurance or banking is desirable.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, API keys, mTLS, and API Manager/Flex Gateway security policies.
- Knowledge of RESTful API development, HTTP verbs, status codes, and API testing.
- Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, or .NET experience is optional or complementary.
- Engineering degree in systems or a related field.
Work Schedule
Hybrid work arrangement, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
