Working Student Design System/Development (m/f/d/x)

Tasks

As a Working Student Design System / Development (m/f/d/x), you support a team working on the development and maintenance of the Mercedes-Benz AG Web Design System.

• Support the integration and management of design tokens and the automation of change processes.
• Contribute to the further development of the component library based on modern web standards.
• Implement and enhance AI agents.
• Integrate modern styling frameworks and their theming options.
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with experienced developers from various disciplines in an agile and international product development team.

Qualifications

• Studying Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable degree program.
• Knowledge of frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Initial experience developing Python applications.
• Basic understanding of AI and LLMs, particularly in the analysis and transformation of code or text.
• Knowledge of server-side development and API design is an advantage.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, design systems, and reusable components is beneficial.
• Familiarity with the GitHub platform and enthusiasm for agile teamwork and innovative solutions.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
