About the role
Capgemini is looking for an experienced Workday Engagement Manager to join its growing Workday Practice and lead the successful delivery of Workday engagements for clients. This client-facing delivery leadership role combines project and programme management, commercial awareness, stakeholder leadership and practical understanding of Workday delivery.
Your role
Act as the primary delivery lead for Workday implementation, enhancement and optimisation engagements. Manage the end-to-end delivery lifecycle and actively manage scope, timeline, budget, quality, risk, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday projects against agreed scope, quality, timeline and budget expectations.
- Own project governance, including plans, RAID management, status reporting, decision tracking, change control and dependency management.
- Act as a trusted delivery partner and primary point of contact for client sponsors, programme leaders, HR, Finance, IT and operational stakeholders.
- Manage forecasts, budgets, profitability, resource demand, scope control and change management.
- Lead diverse onshore, nearshore and offshore delivery teams, removing blockers and promoting collaborative ways of working.
- Support pre-sales activity, delivery governance, reusable delivery assets and knowledge sharing across the practice.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience leading technology or Workday implementation engagements in a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Current Workday Services Partner certification as an Engagement Manager or Project Manager.
- Strong understanding of Workday delivery lifecycles and HCM, Finance, Payroll, Recruiting or broader Workday programmes.
- Experience managing scope, plans, resources, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, quality standards and profitability targets.
- Ability to lead diverse project teams across functional, technical, data, testing, change and deployment workstreams.
- Strong client-facing communication, facilitation, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Experience working across geographically distributed delivery models.
Desirable experience
- Complex or multi-workstream Workday programme management.
- Pre-sales, bid responses, solution proposals, mobilisation planning or commercial shaping.
- Awareness of Workday HCM, Finance, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking, Integrations, Security, Reporting or Extend.
- Responsible AI adoption in HR and Finance transformation.
- PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Agile or equivalent practical delivery experience.
