Tasks
Mercedes-Benz is developing an innovative, holistic thermal management system for passenger cars. The team uses a thermal management hardware-in-the-loop test bench to test and calibrate vehicle software for cooling and air conditioning across all temperature ranges.
- Design the test bench user interface with dSPACE ControlDesk.
- Help integrate software modules for cooling and refrigeration circuits into a MATLAB/Simulink-based simulation environment.
- Help simplify the software integration process.
- Implement safety routines and test software integration.
- Document the approaches taken and challenges overcome.
The position can start in October 2026.
Qualifications
- Enrolled student in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, or a comparable field.
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
- Ideally, an affinity for IT and knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and Git.
- Systematic approach to analyzing and solving technical problems, with the ability to quickly learn complex subject areas and tools.
- Initiative, analytical thinking, structured working methods, teamwork, and an interest in documentation.
