Tasks
The Drive Systems Software Integration & Control department at Mercedes-Benz is responsible for software coordination in the powertrain and develops cloud-based applications and digital solutions. The EDS.AI team is shaping the digital transformation through agile methods, data-driven decisions, automation and the targeted use of AI.
- Operate and further develop the Azure cloud platform
- Deploy web applications, APIs and backend services
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Enterprise
- Operate containers, runners and cloud infrastructure
- Integrate databases, interfaces and Azure AI Services
- Monitor, analyze errors and optimize productive systems
The position can begin in September 2026.
Qualifications
- Studying computer science, software engineering, cloud computing or a comparable subject
- Very good knowledge of Python
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions and CI/CD
- Knowledge of backend development, APIs, databases and cloud architectures
- Experience with Docker, containers and cloud deployments
- Knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or AI agent systems is advantageous
- Experience with Claude, GitHub Copilot and Vibe Coding is desirable
- React, TypeScript or modern frontend technologies are a plus
- Strong initiative, a hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for modern cloud technologies
