Job Purpose: He/she will be responsible for the safe execution of maintenance activities, focusing on planned maintenance and efficient breakdown troubleshooting, and giving robust solutions while improving key performance indicators and eradicating waste and losses to ensure a sustainable environment. When necessary, execute tasks deemed important for the business as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all maintenance activities safely and on time.
- Execute legal-related maintenance tasks safely and on time.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during maintenance activities and enforce standards including LOTO and minor intervention procedures.
- Execute maintenance activities according to quality maintenance standards.
- Perform maintenance while considering food safety standards such as HACCP.
- Execute planned and corrective maintenance.
- Coach, train, and support operators for CILT execution.
- Perform tagging and detagging at the required level.
- Spot and rectify equipment performance issues during zonal tours.
- Attend production shift handover meetings and understand OPI losses.
- Assist operators with machine fine-tuning and adjustments during changeovers.
- Hand over equipment to operators after maintenance and place tags for follow-up work orders.
- Execute Lock Out Tag Out Try Out procedures.
- Execute maintenance tasks that operators cannot perform and inform the duty engineer if a stoppage exceeds 15 minutes.
- Use dead time as instruction time for personal or operator skills development.
- Participate in service and overhaul maintenance.
- Communicate and cooperate with operations before, during, and after maintenance.
- Continuously learn from zone technicians to troubleshoot and maintain equipment efficiently.
- Transfer maintenance tasks to operators when they fall within the operator's scope.
- Apply structured fault-finding procedures and organize spare parts and team support, including training and mentoring.
- Participate in or organize RCFA/BDA activities, including training and mentoring.
- Keep maintenance areas organized using 5S.
- Engage in the APM 0-3 rollout team and improvement activities.
- Register breakdown work orders in CMMS and create BDA sheets.
- Define follow-up work after resolving issues.
Job Requirements
Education: BSc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent vocational education.
Experience and skills required:
- Four years or more of experience working in maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and technical machine knowledge.
- Experience with TPM and ability to execute AM activities and train operators in AM.
- Independent user of Windows, Office, and Maximo.
- Basic education in process automation control.
- Certified to work with low voltage.
- Mastery of required LOTO skills and activities.
- Good understanding of technical drawings, including AutoCAD/P&ID and wiring diagrams.
