Job Description

• Lead and manage a high-performing Car EOO software development team, including people leadership, delivery content, budget awareness and business management.
• Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing, professional growth and skills development.
• Align Car EOO activities with Mercedes-Benz Tech Malaysia, Home of Tech and global R&D priorities.
• Support cross-regional collaboration and capability ramp-up with R&D China, R&D Germany and Home of Tech counterparts.
• Translate strategic expectations into team focus areas, capability development, delivery readiness and operational follow-up.
• Improve organizational efficiency, delivery transparency, quality and stakeholder responsiveness.
• Ensure compliance while promoting collaboration, knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
• Maintain communication with direct reports, peer team leads, stakeholders, Home of Tech counterparts, R&D China and R&D Germany counterparts, and relevant external partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in IT-specific corporate roles with management responsibility.
• Experience across operational, conceptual and technical aspects of IT or software product development.
• Experience in automotive software development, preferably involving vehicle or onboard software.
• Experience leading and strategically aligning distributed agile development teams.
• Strong experience collaborating with international partners and teams.
• Experience with cross-regional delivery setup, stakeholder alignment, capability ramp-up and coordination across international locations.
• Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.

• Responsible for developing a high-performing Car EOO team through guidance, expectation setting, feedback, mentoring and professional development support.
• Co-responsible for strategic alignment and cross-regional delivery collaboration with Home of Tech, R&D China, R&D Germany and relevant stakeholders.
• Co-responsible for operational excellence, delivery readiness, capability ramp-up and continuous improvement.
• Responsible for aligning priorities, monitoring delivery progress and supporting follow-up actions related to people, delivery and operations.
• Support external partner, vendor or recruiter coordination where relevant.
