System Architect - Full Stack

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Architect to lead the architectural design and evolution of our software product, MBStories. This role involves overseeing the technical vision for an ecosystem spanning mobile applications, cloud-based services, automotive head unit interfaces, and web experiences. You will define technical strategy, ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability, and guide engineering teams in delivering solutions. Competence in GenAI, predictive AI, and agentic AI technologies is also required.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the overall system architecture for a multi-platform software product encompassing app frontend, cloud backend, automotive head unit frontend, and web frontend.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into robust, scalable, secure architectural designs and technical solutions.
• Lead the design and implementation of distributed systems, microservices, and API strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and platforms to improve performance, scalability, and development efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, reliability, availability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering leads, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with product roadmaps and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including system diagrams, design specifications, and technical guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement in the software development lifecycle and advocate Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Conduct architectural reviews and provide feedback on architectural principles and quality standards.
• Incorporate AI-based development and innovation while enabling scalability and easier migration techniques.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of overall experience in software development and engineering roles, including at least 3+ years as a System Architect or Solution Architect.
• Proven expertise designing and architecting complex, multi-platform software products.
• Experience architecting mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Experience designing scalable cloud-native solutions, including microservices, serverless architectures, and APIs.
• Experience with in-car infotainment systems or embedded, device-specific UI development is highly desirable.
• Experience architecting modern web applications.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Python, and Swift.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, message queues, and caching mechanisms.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, SOLID, and DRY principles.
