Key points and objectives of the position

Manage a stable supply chain for the new car business by monitoring, evaluating, and reporting current issues and potential risks in a timely manner to reduce business impact. Integrate and optimize production and distribution flows from the factory to Mercedes-Benz partners, reviewing supply chain effectiveness and accuracy and reporting results to management.

Description of tasks

  • End-to-End Supply Chain Planning & Visibility: Monitor vehicle supply from production allocation through dealer delivery; assess supply performance and risks; analyze bottlenecks and disruptions; manage vehicle holds, delays, and exceptions; provide management reporting; maintain supply forecasting and risk-monitoring frameworks; and coordinate cancellation approvals for non-saleable vehicles.
  • Logistics Performance & Process Improvement: Establish logistics KPIs covering lead time, transportation performance, and delivery quality; lead continuous improvement; support digitalization and automation; implement best practices; and manage logistics incidents through root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Transportation Planning & Shipping Management: Lead transportation planning, monitor lead-time trends, coordinate inbound vehicle transportation, prioritize allocations, manage special transportation requirements, validate shipping documents and Incoterms compliance, and report freight-cost impacts.
  • Inbound Logistics Operations Management: Review inbound logistics planning and execution, coordinate with logistics providers and terminals, manage special projects, ensure accurate vendor settlement and payments, improve logistics systems and vendor management, and optimize transportation routes and network performance.
  • Vehicle Storage & Capacity Management: Monitor storage utilization, identify capacity constraints, develop mitigation plans, coordinate storage allocation, and secure sufficient capacity with logistics providers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of business experience, including at least 2–3 years in supply chain management.
  • Excellent Korean and English communication skills.
  • Customs, FTA, international trade, and supply management certifications or regulatory knowledge preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and SAP skills.
  • Trust-building, teamwork, collaboration, and strategic-thinking skills.
