Store Manager - Cashel Street Concept Store, Christchurch

We're looking for an experienced Store Manager who maintains high standards of themselves and their staff to drive excellence in our Cashel Mall Concept Store in Christchurch, NZ.

The ideal candidate must be able to confidently present themselves and their store to a high standard and work efficiently to support a wide variety of customers and key stakeholders.

Retail leaders are expected to lead from the front, inspire success in all areas of people management, and manage the store effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate, and lead the team to achieve KPIs, sales targets, and an exceptional customer experience.
• Take full ownership of the store and its commercial success, ensuring the team understands store performance results, data, objectives, and action plans.
• Analyze relevant data to probe and challenge the status quo.
• Address identified improvement areas to maximize commercial impact, involving the District Manager or other Retail Back Office partners as needed.
• Drive continuous improvements in the store's sales, productivity, and profitability.
• Lead service by example, maximizing time spent selling and leading the team on the sales floor.
• Work with the District Manager to identify and develop strong performers with potential for growth along the Retail Field Career Ladder.
• Conduct staff training and coaching to drive KPI performance and brand knowledge.
• Effectively manage all retail operations within the store, empowering team contribution and skills.
• Coordinate team members to consistently execute and maintain established Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication standards.
• Coordinate team members to ensure efficient inventory processing and a seamless stock-to-floor process.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and brand partners to ensure professional and adequate department support at store level.

The successful candidate

You will have a commercial mindset and strong retail background with a proven track record of success in a similar retail leadership position, consistently leading a team to achieve budgeted sales.

You will be motivated, energetic, results driven, and passionate about people and product. You will also be confident working in a fast-paced, high-exposure concept store, leading store walk-throughs, and liaising with brand leaders and stakeholders.

Experience regarded

• Retail Store Manager experience representing a men's or women's global brand, preferably in sports.
• Experience as a leader coaching and mentoring a team to succeed.
