Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the strategic vision and roadmap for the Planning function at the MDC, aligning capacity needs with commercial growth plans across all channels.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Planning team, including direct oversight of the Manager Planning role and a total team of seven collaborators.
  • Own relationships with key stakeholders across Order Fulfillment, Customer Service, DTC, Retail, Engineering, and regional and global Planning leadership.
  • Translate business projections into feasible, resourced, and risk-assessed capacity plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization of planning processes, including SOPs, complexity matrices, waving strategies, and capacity models.
  • Champion automation and advanced planning tools such as WMS/TMS enhancements, simulation models, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Challenge productivity, UPH, and capacity utilization metrics to identify efficiency gaps.
  • Oversee scenario planning and contingency strategies for peak events and demand volatility.
  • Partner with Engineering and Automation teams to maximize infrastructure investments through smarter planning and resource allocation.
  • Build governance models that ensure accountability and transparency across the planning cycle.
  • Represent the MDC in network studies, footprint scenario modeling, and strategic transformation initiatives.

Experience and Skills

  • Advanced English and the ability to communicate with global and regional stakeholders.
  • Strategic and systems-thinking mindset with experience shaping long-term operating models.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead executive-level cross-functional discussions.
  • Expertise in advanced planning methodologies, capacity modeling, and demand-supply balancing.
  • Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with automation, WMS, and BI tools such as Power BI.
  • Proven leadership managing managers and building high-performing teams.
  • Lean, continuous improvement, and change management experience.

Education and Experience

University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field; postgraduate studies such as an MBA are preferred. Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Planning, or Distribution Center leadership roles is required. Experience leading teams of managers or supervisors in a distribution center or fulfillment environment is required. Experience with automation projects, advanced planning systems, and multi-channel operations is highly desirable.
