As a Sr. Maintenance Technician reporting to the N1 Maintenance Supervisor, you'll work with a highly motivated team skilled in industrial maintenance to maintain and repair plastics manufacturing equipment in extrusion, thermoforming and injection molding processes.

Shift: N2: F/S/Sun and every other Monday, 5:30 pm–5:30 am

Who We Are Looking For

The candidate needs strong problem-solving ability to identify defects and repair industrial equipment, with familiarity and training in electrical, mechanical, and fluid system safety, diagnostics, and repair.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Post-high-school technical or vocational education, or related military training in industrial maintenance technology and industrial electrical systems
  • 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in plastics manufacturing
  • Electrical safety, troubleshooting, and repair experience, including PLC control systems, AC electrical systems up to 3-phase 480 volts, DC electrical systems, and replacement of components such as drives, motors, pumps, heaters, switches, and HMI panels
  • Experience with hand tools, machine shop equipment, precision measuring instruments, digital multimeters, cutting and welding equipment
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical documentation and drawings
  • Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems; SAP preferred
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including possible evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with plastic processing equipment, including extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, driers, loaders, and transfer systems
  • Experience or certification with PLCs and variable frequency drives
  • Experience or certification with industrial automation and robotics; Denso and ABB preferred
  • Familiarity with reliability-based maintenance programs and principles
  • Ability to become certified to operate forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts

What You'll Work On

At Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation, we create and produce proprietary cushioning systems that make Nike Air products famous. Customized plastics processing equipment is used across extrusion, thermoforming, and injection molding technologies.

Maintenance professionals perform preventative maintenance, deploy projects to decrease downtime, and respond quickly to equipment issues to return assets to production. As a Sr. Maintenance Technician, you will support one of the facility's production shifts.

  • Repair or modify production equipment using controls, drawings, electrical, general mechanics, hydraulics, machine shop, piping systems, PLCs, pneumatics, troubleshooting, welding, and programming
  • Perform preventive maintenance and determine repair and maintenance work needed to prevent equipment failure and improve reliability
  • Contact vendors, research problems, identify components, and order maintenance machine parts
  • Track and turn in repairable flagged parts
  • Escalate part issues to supervisors or management with potential solutions when known
