Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The purpose of this position is to ensure accuracy of customer shipments, expedite shipments, coordinate with wave planning, advise the shipping department, and ensure daily routing goals of the apparel and footwear distribution operation teams are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently seek out process improvements.
- Lead improvement projects, document time savings, and lead presentations with the routing team and other key groups.
- Request routing for high-volume, high-profile, key customer accounts that do not have routing assigned at the time of planning.
- Develop professional relationships with customers, vendors, sales force, and customer service.
- Maintain knowledge of defined key-account routing processes and procedures and assist with any key account when needed.
- Provide accurate information to help avoid company chargebacks.
- Work with Compliance to research violations and provide solutions.
- Communicate with customers, traffic departments, carriers, shipping, compliance, wave planning, and customer service to ensure customer routing requirements are followed.
- Monitor reports to ensure assigned-account orders are planned and shipped by expected start ship dates.
- Research customer chargebacks on shipments and provide solutions.
- Maintain SOPs for assigned accounts.
- Provide Shipping with daily load information for all loads shipping from apparel and footwear facilities.
- Work closely with Shipping to ensure timely and accurate shipments for all customer accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret communications in English.
- Working knowledge of distribution, logistics, transportation, and routing procedures.
- Ability to function professionally in a fast-paced environment, learn and adapt quickly, and work independently.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills based on company KPIs.
- Comfort presenting to groups.
- Ability to execute complex key-account routing requirements and solve problems quickly, independently, and professionally.
- Ability to initiate or assist in process-improvement discussions.
- Working knowledge of WMS and strong computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- Four-year college or university degree.
- Previous distribution, shipping, or routing experience required.
- Previous WMS experience preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Certification or equivalent knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
