About the Role

The Specialist position works alongside distributor partners to ensure the successful sale, volume growth, distribution, brand presence and positioning of the HEINEKEN USA portfolio in assigned channels or geographies. As the primary retail-facing representative for our brands, the Specialist builds high-quality business relationships with key retail accounts and influential distributor personnel based on mutual value. The Specialist also creates high-quality consumer engagement and experiences by delivering best-in-class programming within targeted on- or off-premise accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with distributors through planning, training, execution, and results reviews to align sales focus with HEINEKEN USA strategies.
  • Drive sales volumes and KPIs by selling target distribution, executing programming, and embedding Excellent Outlet Execution against consumer drivers.
  • Monitor and maintain competitive pricing, distribution, visibility, shelf space, displays, and feature activity across off-premise and on-premise accounts.
  • Manage local and regional chains not covered by Regional or National Sales Managers.
  • Manage local events and leverage sponsorships, sampling, point-of-sale materials, and other sales resources to increase brand awareness and value.
  • Build value-based relationships with key retailers, market influencers, distributor personnel, and internal HEINEKEN USA teams.
  • Collaborate with Regional Marketing, Chain Sales, and other departments to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Ensure third-party agency vendors are used effectively and follow the HEINEKEN USA code of conduct.
  • Collect and use objective market-execution data to drive accountability and demonstrate HEINEKEN USA's value proposition.
  • Ensure brand adherence to quality standards within the geographic territory.
  • Use pre-planning and route planning to meet call requirements, spending a minimum of four days per week in market.
  • Complete administrative tasks including recap meetings, one-on-ones with the Market Manager, budget and report management, and expense tracking.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Passion for winning and drive for success.
  • Program management and activation skills.
  • Ability to drive execution standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Value-based selling experience.
  • Exposure to a retail environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, sales reporting software, or syndicated data.

Physical Requirements and Other Details

  • Must be able to lift up to 32 lbs.
  • Frequent stooping, reaching, bending, and twisting are required.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and sit in a vehicle for extended periods.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must obtain a valid solicitor's permit upon hire.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $80,000–$100,000 plus annual bonus.
