Who You Will Work With
You will report to the Engineering Manager at Geographies & Marketplace Experiences - India Technology Center, working with a team of dedicated engineers on shared solutions and longer-term technical strategy.
Who We Are Looking For
NIKE is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Global Technology - Geographies and Marketplace Experiences organization. The team builds scalable applications and cloud services for product data, marketplace experiences, and Order Management.
- Minimum 7+ years of software development experience.
- Experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary development teams and distributed cloud environments such as AWS, GCE, or Azure.
- Mandatory experience with microservice architecture, domain-driven design, RESTful services, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Ability to independently drive end-to-end project execution, including design, development, coordination, and delivery.
- AI-first mindset and experience using AI-powered developer tools such as Cursor.
- Experience with test-driven development tools including JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Playwright.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and tracing tools such as NewRelic, Splunk, SignalFx, Kibana, or Grafana.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational data stores including DynamoDB, MySQL, and Oracle.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, static analysis, GitHub workflows, and Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or another relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
- Experience delivering Generative AI-based solutions or projects.
Nice-to-have experience includes highly scalable web applications, eCommerce and supply chain domains, and full-stack development.
What You Will Work On
- Develop and deliver backend, cloud-native microservices.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable digital asset management systems and services.
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented code, conduct peer reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Leverage Generative AI capabilities including RAG, prompt-driven workflows, MCP, and specification-driven architectures.
- Ensure performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, and availability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning and other Scrum ceremonies.
- Design, implement, deploy, monitor, and operate services at scale in a full DevOps model.
- Resolve technical issues, remove blockers, and provide code review feedback.
- Own build, test, release, and production support for team-owned capabilities.
- Implement observability and operational readiness using Splunk and SignalFx, including monitoring and alerting.
