This role is part of Foundational Platform Engineering (FPE) and works with MFT as part of the Data Integration team.
Who We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a Software Engineer II (MFT) to join Nike’s Data Integration team. The team supports data integrations and platforms for business and engineering teams across Nike globally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with MFT, Axway Secure Transport 5.5, and Axway Sentinel administration and development
- Understanding of AWS technologies including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and Terraform IaC
- Strong scripting and programming experience
- Understanding of Jenkins and Git version control
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix and MySQL/Oracle database administration
- Strong debugging, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with monitoring or observability tools such as New Relic or Splunk is a plus
What You’ll Work On
As a Software Engineer II, you will help shape, modernize, and scale Nike’s managed file transfer platform while driving innovation and automation.
- Develop and maintain self-service capabilities for configuring file transfers in the Axway Managed File Transfer platform
- Design and build intuitive self-service features that improve customer experience
- Use new technologies and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Own operating system, database, and application patching and operational automation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot file transfer and platform issues
- Coordinate with product vendors on platform issues and improvements
- Provide on-call technical support as required
- Build automations that improve platform security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance
