Who You Will Work With

You will report to the Engineering Manager at Geographies & Marketplace Experiences - India Technology Center and work with a team of dedicated engineers building shared solutions.

Who We Are Looking For

NIKE’s Global Technology Geographies and Marketplace Experiences organization is modernizing its product data platform and building scalable cloud applications and services that support Nike consumer experiences and back-end teams. As a Software Engineer II, you will help build a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant Order Management platform.

  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary development teams and distributed or cloud-based environments.
  • Mandatory experience with microservice architecture, domain-driven design, RESTful services, Java, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience using AI-powered developer tools and an AI-first mindset.
  • Experience with test-driven development, monitoring and tracing tools, NoSQL and relational data stores, CI/CD, automated testing, Scrum, and agile principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub workflows, Splunk, and SignalFx.
  • Experience designing scalable web applications and exposure to eCommerce, order management, fulfillment, or warehouse management are desirable.

What You Will Work On

  • Develop and deliver backend cloud-native microservices.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable digital asset management systems and services.
  • Write clean, tested, and documented code; conduct peer reviews and mentor engineers.
  • Leverage GenAI capabilities, including RAG, prompt-driven workflows, MCP, and specification-driven architectures.
  • Ensure quality, performance, scalability, reliability, usability, and availability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in sprint planning and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Design, implement, deploy, monitor, and operate services at scale in a full DevOps model.
  • Resolve technical issues, remove blockers, review code, and support team-owned capabilities in production.
  • Implement observability and operational readiness using Splunk and SignalFx, including monitoring and alerting.
