NIKE, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Geographies & Marketplace Experiences team at its India Technology Center. The role focuses on building high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant Order Management platforms and scalable cloud-native services supporting Nike’s digital experiences.
Who You Will Work With
You will report to the Engineering Manager for Geographies & Marketplace Experiences and work with a team of dedicated engineers to improve Nike’s technical strategy and deliver shared platform solutions.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Full-stack development expertise across backend services and frontend web applications.
- Experience with Express.js, React, and Node.js, or Java, Spring Boot, React, and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Experience with microservice architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience in distributed or cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCE, or Azure.
- Experience with test-driven development, observability tools, NoSQL and relational databases, CI/CD, and automated integration testing.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub workflows, Splunk, SignalFx, and engineering hygiene practices.
- Experience delivering generative AI-based solutions and using AI-powered developer tools.
- Ability to independently own end-to-end project execution with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of Scrum and agile principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
What You Will Work On
- Develop and deliver backend cloud-native microservices.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable digital asset management systems and services.
- Write clean, tested, and documented code and participate in peer code reviews.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical innovation.
- Use generative AI capabilities, including RAG, prompt-driven workflows, MCP, and spec-driven architectures.
- Ensure performance, scalability, extensibility, reliability, usability, and availability throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning and other Scrum ceremonies.
- Design, implement, deploy, monitor, and operate services at scale.
- Own build, test, release, and production support for team-owned capabilities.
- Implement observability and operational readiness using Splunk and SignalFx, including monitoring and alerting.
