Location: Bull HPC sites in France: Grenoble, Les Clayes-sous-Bois, Bruyères-le-Châtel, Bordeaux, Rennes, Toulouse or Montpellier. Other locations in Europe or remote options available.

The Mission: Scaling our Software Architecture

The SDA team is the deeply technical architectural heart of the business line. Customers now demand sovereign cloud-native architectures and end-to-end AI pipelines. Bull is looking for a second Software Architect to approach complex deals and design solutions for large and sensitive AI workloads.

What You’ll Do

• Design modern software solutions for complex bids, including OpenShift ecosystems, multi-tenant environments, and HPC/AI hybrid cloud environments.
• Partner with the existing software lead to cover an increasing volume of deals and ensure every tender receives top-tier architectural design.
• Analyze and translate customer requirements into technical architectures and own the software chapters of technical proposals.
• Present architectural choices to CIOs and lead researchers and defend the proposed solutions.
• Bridge Product Management and R&D, influencing future as-a-Service software models.
• Collaborate with the wider SDA team to build financially and technically viable solutions for Tier-0 projects.

The Tech Stack

• Core: Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Virtualization: Container and KVM/VM virtualization.
• AI pipelines: Training and inference workflows.
• Operating systems: Linux, including RHEL, Ubuntu, and CoreOS.
• Plus: Cluster management software, Slurm, InfiniBand, and parallel file systems.

Who You Are

• A hybrid profile with systems administration experience and a transition into cloud and AI.
• Curious and autonomous, with a hands-on approach to installing, testing, and understanding technology.
• Resilient and comfortable in a high-pressure technical presales environment handling large tenders.
• A strong communicator able to explain complex technical concepts to executives and developers.
