Site Fleet Controller

Job Purpose

Manage company heavy-duty and medium vehicles, including fuel management, tire management, and repair and maintenance administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure fleet activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, inspections, permits, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee daily fleet operations and supervise and train drivers, including mandatory training follow-up.
• Track driving violations, create violations dashboards, track trucks, and validate driver licenses.
• Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, vehicle handovers, garage follow-up, and coordination with the Fleet Manager.
• Inspect tires, track tire retreading efficiency, and report tire data.
• Manage GPS tracking, journey plans, route breakdowns, weekly truck inspections, and fleet condition reporting.
• Collect fleet repair and maintenance invoices from suppliers and service providers.
• Manage fuel issuance, trip-based fuel reconciliation, monthly fuel consumption tracking, and variance reporting.
• Analyze fleet performance data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering maintenance compliance, inspections, and fuel consumption.
• Support transportation planning, safety improvements, DCS meetings, customer-centric culture, cross-functional alignment, and personal development.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures protect the team.

Job Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in fleet management-related operations.
• TVET Level 3 Automotive Engineering or higher in a related field.
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, MS Office, and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Ethiopian transport and insurance legislation.
• Understanding of planning, order management, transportation management, warehousing, commercial, and supply chain processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and financial understanding skills.
• Ability to use advanced logistics tools and build collaborative partnerships.
• Available for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and frequent travel within Ethiopia and abroad.
