Signaling Engineer (CSD, SCP, SEPP, BSF)

Role Summary

The Signaling Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, deployment, integration, validation, testing, and acceptance of Core Network Signaling solutions within Cloud Signaling Director (CSD) environments. The role combines strong technical expertise in cloud-native signaling solutions with customer-facing delivery responsibilities, troubleshooting, integration, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Core Network Signaling solutions.
• Support architecture, deployment, and integration activities for cloud-native signaling platforms.
• Design, configure, and integrate Cloud Signaling Director (CSD), Binding Support Function (BSF), Service Communication Proxy (SCP), and Security Edge Protection Proxy (SEPP).
• Perform deployment, integration, testing, validation, and acceptance activities across customer environments.
• Support interoperability testing with existing mobile network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot deployment and integration issues, identify root causes, and support resolution during customer acceptance testing.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Design, Customer Information Questionnaire, Method of Procedure, and test and acceptance documentation.
• Participate in project planning, customer workshops, technical discussions, test execution, and customer acceptance activities.

Required Technical Skills

• Cloud Signaling Director, BSF, SCP, and SEPP.
• Cloud-native architectures, CaaS, Kubernetes, Docker, CNFs, VNFs, and virtualization technologies.
• Linux and Unix operating systems with strong command-line administration skills.
• 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G Core networks, mobile core architecture, and signaling fundamentals.
• Solution integration, validation, testing, acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and network deployment methodologies.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom network deployment, integration, or signaling engineering.
• Proven experience with cloud signaling solutions and mobile core network technologies.
• Hands-on experience with BSF, SCP, SEPP, or similar 5G Core network functions.
• Experience deploying solutions in cloud-native environments and working with Kubernetes, Docker, CNFs, and VNFs.
• Experience in customer-facing project environments.
• English proficiency at minimum B2 level, written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with telecom cloud platforms.
• Understanding of 5G Service-Based Architecture.
• Experience in international and multicultural project environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and cloud automation.
• Industry certifications related to Kubernetes, cloud, or telecom core networks.
