Who We Are Looking For
NIKE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality & Automation Engineering professional at the Senior Software Engineer level to lead quality assurance strategies, automation frameworks, performance and reliability testing, and continuous improvement of digital services. You will help build a scalable, automated test ecosystem for cloud-native services supporting Nike’s product data platform and global consumer experiences.
What You Will Work On
- Define and drive quality strategy for Shared Platforms Services, focusing on automation and scalability.
- Participate in the technical development and delivery of backend cloud-native microservices with a quality-first mindset.
- Build and maintain automated frameworks for functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and API testing.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop robust test suites for digital asset management and related services.
- Integrate quality gates and automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Leverage GenAI capabilities, including RAG, prompt-driven workflows, MCP, and specification-driven architectures, to accelerate testing.
- Improve performance, scalability, reliability, usability, and availability testing across services.
- Work across the full DevOps lifecycle, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Use Splunk and SignalFx for observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness.
- Analyze test failures, resolve technical quality issues, improve test reliability, and advocate for automation-first practices.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development with a strong focus on quality.
- Experience with distributed or cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCE, or Azure.
- Experience with microservices, domain-driven design, RESTful services, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with TDD, BDD, JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, or similar tools.
- Experience with observability tools such as New Relic, Splunk, SignalFx, Kibana, or Grafana.
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases, including DynamoDB, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with continuous integration, automated integration testing, static analysis, and continuous delivery.
- Working knowledge of Scrum, agile principles, and agile QA practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing scalable automated test frameworks and web applications.
- Exposure to eCommerce and supply chain domains, including order management, fulfillment, and warehouse management.
- Full-stack development experience or familiarity with React and Angular.
- Experience with performance and security testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or OWASP ZAP.
