Senior Software Engineer

NIKE, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support internal product creation tools within the Global Technology organization. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, principal engineers, and other technology teams to deliver software supporting Nike’s business objectives.

Who We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to solve complex software engineering problems and help deliver state-of-the-art tools to Nike’s product developers and broader creation community. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, productive in a fast-paced development environment, and experienced in native cloud software engineering.

What You’ll Work On

You will help build tooling for Nike’s internal Innovation & Consumer Creation teams. The team is developing modular, configurable, API-first capabilities for modern web applications built with current SPA frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field, or relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of hands-on industry software development experience.
• Expertise in Node.js, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and related tools.
• Experience with AWS products including Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and S3.
• Experience with modern testing methodologies and frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, and Jest.
• Strong understanding of architectural design patterns and computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, SASS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of HTML5, including Flexbox, semantic markup, accessibility, OOCSS, BEM, and Atomic CSS concepts.
• Experience implementing and integrating AI, machine learning, and related data solutions is preferred.
• Experience with browser APIs, event lifecycles, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of CSS2 and cross-browser compliance.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Vue.js, Vuetify.js, Vuex, React, Redux, template technologies, microservices, or REST web services. Experience with Angular is a plus.
