Your Project
This initiative focuses on expanding and refining automation across key operational domains - from product implementation workflows to billing and provisioning systems, as well as various service-related tasks, including bug handling and customer-funded enhancements. In the role of Senior Scala Engineer, you will be part of a deeply technical environment, responsible for designing scalable backend solutions, strengthening existing automation frameworks, and supporting the ongoing development of a sophisticated enterprise platform that underpins workforce and payroll operations.
Tech stack: Scala 2.13, Play Framework (pekko-based), MySQL, Redis, AWS services.
Your Role
- Develop and maintain backend services in Scala using Play Framework to support automation of implementation, billing, and provisioning
- Optimize MySQL queries and ensure efficient data access across system components
- Support automation of service workflows, including bug fixes and client-funded requests
- Build and maintain AWS-based components to ensure system reliability and scalability
- Contribute to CI/CD processes, perform code reviews, and follow Git-based development practices
Your Profile
- Strong knowledge of Scala (collections, Futures, immutability, pattern matching, etc)
- Good understanding of SQL optimization, indexes, and query profiling
- Experience with AWS services
- Understanding of CI/CD and source control (Git, PR flow)
