Senior SAP C Developer (C/Linux/kernel patching)

Project Description and Opportunity

Our client is a leading provider of accounting SaaS solutions. Its scalable, column-oriented database cloud solution runs on AWS. The project involves migrating the database software cloud from Intel to ARM architecture. The position joins the Virtualization team, which is building the virtual layer from scratch for ARM hardware.

Responsibilities

• Build new features and maintain existing functionality according to specifications and design.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Report feature readiness and quality to the team lead or supervisor and raise red flags in crisis situations.
• Participate in functional and architectural design of assigned features.
• Research and evaluate technical implementation options.
• Estimate feature scope and split work into tasks.
• Work closely with team members and relevant stakeholders.
• Follow established software development processes.
• Suggest technical and functional improvements that add value to the product.

Required Skills

• ANSI C programming experience.
• Multi-core and multi-threaded programming experience.
• Linux/POSIX Linux kernel development experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience building or optimizing software for ARM processors.
• Experience in parallel computation.
• Experience with virtualization software or hypervisors.
• Assembler experience.
