Project Managers lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects while balancing customer expectations, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring agreed business outcomes are achieved within defined scope, budget, timescales, and quality standards. You will take responsibility for project definition, planning, governance, execution, and completion, managing project teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver large, multi-disciplinary project teams or small transition programmes across multiple locations and supplier organisations.
  • Own and manage project, programme, or transition plans, including mobilisation, knowledge transfer, exit, and go-live readiness.
  • Plan, manage, and control projects with internal and external dependencies.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and baseline plans.
  • Monitor budgets, costs, revenue, margins, and project financial performance.
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, configuration, change, and governance controls.
  • Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving conflicts.
  • Lead presentations, reviews, and governance forums with senior stakeholders and project teams.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial performance, profitability, and end-to-end change control.
  • Support projects involving diverse technologies, suppliers, and commercial arrangements.

Skills We Can't Do Without

  • Proven experience delivering large projects or small programmes or portfolios typically valued between £4M and £8M, with teams of up to 50 people.
  • Strong project planning, governance, risk management, issue management, and change control experience.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and stakeholders across multiple locations.
  • Strong commercial and financial management capability.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Skills We'd Like

  • Experience delivering technology transformation or migration projects.
  • Experience delivering transition programmes involving multiple suppliers or complex environments.
  • Experience and professional certification in traditional or Agile project delivery methodologies.

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
  • Must be fully mobile in terms of assignment location.
  • Travel and on-site attendance may be required depending on project and customer requirements.
