Atos is seeking a Senior Programme Planner to build, optimise, and maintain complex project schedules that directly shape programme success. The role serves as a key planning liaison for clients, design partners, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop, manage, and optimise detailed project schedules using MS Project. Integrate contractor and supplier schedules into a unified master programme. Monitor progress, analyse variances, and implement recovery strategies. Oversee planning across initiation, design, procurement, build and test, implementation and commissioning, and handover.
  • Stakeholder Management & Client Interface: Act as the primary planning liaison for the client. Lead programme plan reviews with client representatives, design partners, and contractors. Provide clear, data-driven insights to support client decision-making and ensure transparency, consistency, and alignment.
  • Reporting & Governance: Produce weekly and monthly planning reports covering progress updates, milestone performance, and critical path analysis. Maintain strict baseline control and change management discipline.
  • Risk Management: Identify schedule risks, constraints, and interdependencies. Model mitigation scenarios, communicate impacts clearly, and feed schedule intelligence into broader project risk registers.
  • Process & Best Practice: Implement robust planning standards aligned with client expectations.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong experience in project planning and controls.
  • Expert user of MS Project.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence reporting to senior client stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance.
  • UK-based role with remote working available and national mobility required.
