The Product Development Team leads the creation process, manages product lines, and maintains a keen understanding of consumer and market trends. Product team members operate at the intersection of buyer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.

Core Accountabilities

• Coordinate the product creation process from initial concept to commercialization and production for assigned models.
• Lead on-time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specifications, sustainability, performance, and profitability goals.
• Collaborate with Design, Brand and Category Management, Merchandising, and Manufacturing to execute product development goals and deliverables.
• Create and maintain appropriate documentation for assigned products, including product specifications, costing, and prototype notes.
• Track and facilitate sampling and prototyping; identify and address key issues and challenges in construction and manufacturing.
• Monitor and communicate progress and challenges throughout the product testing process to meet product integrity requirements.
• Keep abreast of market trends, team goals, new technology, and consumer needs throughout the development process.
• Engage appropriately to ensure projects are completed within corporate guidelines and goals for all facets of product creation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 3–5 years of relevant experience in sports accessories or equipment, preferably products including soccer balls, shin guards, or goalkeeper gloves, or in apparel.
• Passion for product development and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of accessories or equipment manufacturing, costing, and construction.
• Solid knowledge of mold engineering, tooling, and product testing preferred.
• Ability to read product specifications and understand relationships and design content.
• Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in an environment with high interdependencies between teams and cross-cultural colleagues.
• Commitment to continuous self-improvement and leading with empathy, compassion, and teamwork.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
